YMSG4000 Spinning Reel - Plastic Spool

We were rather surprised by the performance of this reel - given its price and construction it actually did pretty well handling a 5lb snapper.

Lets be honest - you can't expect the world for $20, but this unit performed above expectations. Handy as a spare, that 'just in case something happens', or for the occasional use - but we wouldn't be putting this to the test every week!

At the price, it (and it';s smaller version, the SG3000) would make great reels for the kids - it c an certainly handle some weight. 

The drag is not too smooth, but it works, and the reel cleverly folds down by way of a button to unlock it, rather than undoing it halfway to fold it over.
